"We are the champions—perhaps even the best team in the world right now," says Hakimi after beating Barça.

After defeating Manchester City, PSG have now beaten Barcelona 4–2, making a bold statement about their strength. Following such a commanding victory on the elite European stage, Achraf Hakimi believes that they are currently one of the best teams in the world—with their sights set on clinching the Champions League title.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have further strengthened their claim to supremacy in European football. Having defeated Manchester City 4–2 last week, the Parisian club secured another 4–2 victory—this time against Barcelona. PSG’s Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi, could not hide his excitement after overcoming the Catalan side, who had remained unbeaten in their previous 11 matches this season.

Speaking to CBS Sports after the match, Hakimi said, "When you play against a team like this, you want to show them that we are the champions. We want to keep winning. We want to demonstrate that we are one of the best teams in the world—perhaps even the very best at this moment."

For PSG, the win against Barcelona was about more than just securing three points; it was an opportunity to gauge their strength against Europe’s elite. By defeating both Manchester City and Barcelona, Luis Enrique’s side has sent a clear message.

Speaking to the French outlet *Foot Mercato*, Hakimi remarked, "We knew it would be a very difficult match. We were facing one of the best teams in the world—a side that hadn't lost a single game this season. But our team is extraordinary."

PSG’s Confidence in a Tough Encounter

The match against Barcelona was far from easy for PSG. Both sides played an attacking brand of football, with Barcelona fighting back twice during the contest. The momentum shifted repeatedly as the teams traded attacks, but in the end, PSG proved their quality when it mattered most. Reflecting on the competitive nature of the match, Hakimi said, "It was a fantastic match for the fans. We enjoyed playing in it, too. Matches like these demand a very high standard of both defending and attacking."

Aiming to Win the Champions League Again

While savoring the victory against Barcelona, Hakimi is already looking ahead. A major goal for PSG this season is to win the Champions League title once more. To realize that dream, he emphasizes the need to maintain a consistent winning streak in every match.

In Hakimi’s words, "We have a big objective this year, and we are striving to achieve it. We want to win the Champions League again. Our goal is to keep winning."

Hakimi also highlighted the role of coach Luis Enrique in fostering a winning mentality within the squad. According to him, the Spanish coach encourages the players to give their best every single day and to maintain a constant hunger for victory.

"The coach ensures that we never lose our winning mentality," Hakimi noted. "We always strive to give our absolute best. Hopefully, we will continue to secure wins."

Having defeated formidable opponents like Manchester City and Barcelona, PSG’s confidence is currently at an all-time high. However, Hakimi is well aware that the stature of a top-tier team is not defined by just one or two victories. The greatest challenge, if they are to remain in contention for the title until the end, will be maintaining consistency.
