England Crush Modric’s Croatia 7-0 in Nations League Rout
England produced a devastating performance in the UEFA Nations League, crushing Luka Modric’s Croatia 7-0 in a one-sided contest.
Thomas Tuchel’s side dominated from the opening minutes and quickly put Croatia under relentless pressure.
Harry Kane opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Jude Bellingham doubled England’s advantage in the 21st minute.
Anthony Gordon made it 3-0 in the 39th minute, while Bukayo Saka added a fourth goal in the 45th minute as England went into half-time with a commanding 4-0 lead.
The second half brought more of the same.
Kane scored his second of the night in the 53rd minute to make it 5-0. Saka then completed his brace in the 68th minute before Morgan Rogers added England’s seventh goal in the 87th minute.
A Rarely Seen Struggle for Modric
For Croatian legend Luka Modric, it was an unusually difficult night. The veteran midfielder struggled to make an impact as England completely controlled the match.
With Croatia 5-0 down, Modric was substituted in the 57th minute. Wearing a headband and visibly frustrated, the Croatia captain could only watch from the sidelines as England continued their domination.
England eventually completed a stunning 7-0 victory, handing Croatia one of their heaviest defeats and leaving Modric and his teammates with a night to forget.
